Big News!

We are extremely happy to announce that we have received another grant to help fund the trail expansion project on Casper Mountain — more specifically the Kay-Lynn Master Plan Program. We received a little over $24,000 from the Natrona County Recreation Joint Powers Board. This grant will specifically fund 2 miles of finished trail. We are hopeful to get matching funds to assist with this program. Two miles is approximately 17% of the total trail addition, including the proposed re-alignments to address erosion concerns. If you would like to join our growing list of supporters, please consider donating today. Our donation page can be found here or you contact us directly via phone or text at 307-262-6923. This project is vastly improving our recreational opportunities on Casper mountain.

Congrats CAMBYR

Our local youth mountain bike racing team did it!! They were awarded the “Golden Pick” award for most trail miles/hours completed this season. CWTA is proud of these young athletes as their labor on community trails not only gained them an award, but they added to the community by providing much needed labor on Wyoming's multi-use trails. Our reach is much farther than only Natrona county. Many days we see people from California, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and as far as Alaska. This group of young trail stewards deserves a community congrats for all that they have accomplished.

New Trails are Exciting but…

We, like many enjoy new trails. Recently, however, new trail “features” have shown up on some of our newer trails. Unfortunately this work had to be removed as it posed a serious risk to users and ultimately was not part of the trail plan design. If you are wanting to construct trail and be part of our community development programs, please contact us for build day information. Central Wyoming Trails Alliance holds an agreement with Natrona County to build and maintain trails which are built to trail build specs and standards.

We ask that this “rogue” building stops as this could negatively impact ALL trail users.

Trail Update

Trails are still damp but riding conditions are excellent. Read more about each trail segment here.
