October Project Update—Central Wyoming Trails Alliance

As we transition into the fall season, the Central Wyoming Trails Alliance (CWTA) remains actively engaged in advancing several key initiatives that support trail stewardship, community engagement, and outdoor recreation. CWTA is still hard at work crafting new trail experiences for our community. We’re gearing up for an exciting season finale with the Casper Mountain Trails Center lodge grand opening, trail ribbon cutting, and our Second Annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TAKMBD)—a celebration made possible by our incredible partners and trail users.

Explore all the latest additions on our website and Trailforks, and grab your trail maps at the grand opening. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy the new summer trails before we transition into winter adventures.

Cottonwood Creek Dinosaur Trail Maintenance Project

Beginning mid-October, CWTA will initiate maintenance efforts on the Cottonwood Creek Dinosaur Trail. This project aims to preserve trail integrity, enhance user safety, and ensure long-term sustainability of this popular recreational corridor.

Platte River Trails Partnership Project

CWTA is pleased to announce a new collaborative effort with Platte River Trails. This partnership will focus on expanding trail connectivity and improving access to outdoor spaces throughout the region.

Mike Sedar All-Wheels Park

The design plan for the Mike Sedar All-Wheels Park is nearing completion and will soon be ready for funding consideration. This proposed facility is designed to accommodate riders of all ages and abilities, and represents a significant investment in inclusive, community-centered recreation. Additional details and funding opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks.

CWTA is excited about the momentum behind these projects and remains committed to fostering partnerships that enhance trail access and outdoor experiences across Central Wyoming.

🍁 See you on the trails!
