Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit

We had the incredible privilege of attending and actively participating in this year's Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit, held in Laramie, WY. This two-day event brought together a diverse group of outdoor enthusiasts, industry leaders, business owners, nonprofit organizations, and local stakeholders—all committed to the growth and sustainability of Wyoming’s outdoor recreation sector.

Throughout the summit, a wide range of topics were explored, including the current state of outdoor recreation in Wyoming, the evolving role of businesses in supporting and shaping the industry, and the critical impact of volunteer efforts and environmental stewardship. These discussions provided valuable insight into both the challenges and opportunities facing outdoor recreation in the state, encouraging collaboration among those dedicated to preserving Wyoming’s vast and diverse natural landscapes.

On the second day of the summit, we had the honor of serving as panelists for a discussion focused on volunteer trail crews and stewardship. Our panel featured voices from various aspects of trail management, advocacy, and conservation, highlighting the importance of community involvement in maintaining and enhancing Wyoming’s trails. Through engaging dialogue, we exchanged ideas on best practices for stewardship, strategies to increase volunteer engagement, and ways to ensure the longevity of our trails for future generations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rico and the Trail F.A.R.I.E.S. from Laramie for organizing and facilitating this panel. Their dedication to fostering meaningful conversations and bringing together key contributors in the outdoor recreation space made this summit truly impactful.

The connections made, conversations sparked, and ideas generated during these two days will undoubtedly shape the future of outdoor recreation in Wyoming. We look forward to continuing our efforts, working alongside fellow enthusiasts and advocates to support conservation, access, and responsible recreation in this beautiful state.

Trail Conditions

Wet everywhere!! Many trails are drying up nicely.

Please remember to limit use on muddy trails. Once this rain dries up the following trails are in great shape to use.

Casper mountain trails still have significant snowpack. We recently pulled winter trail markers off of Eadsville and Copper. Still plenty of snow for snowshoeing or hiking. The Conditions are very icy and rough.

Funding Goals

Please consider donating on the following projects.  We are community funded and your donation goes directly into the trails we all cherish. Every dollar matters!!
