Trail Talk – May Newsletter
Outdoor Recreation Summit Recap
Last week, our team spent several days in Saratoga, Wyoming for this year’s Outdoor Recreation Summit—an inspiring gathering of outdoor recreation vendors, state legislators, county and city officials, federal land managers, trail users, and nonprofits like us. The summit offered a full slate of workshops, lectures, and discussions focused on strengthening Wyoming’s outdoor recreation future.
CWTA was honored to participate on two discussion panels this year:
• Project Spotlight Panel – We shared the story of our work on Casper Mountain and Douglas Mountain, highlighting how these projects began and the partnerships that made them possible.
• Stewardship Planning Workshop – We guided attendees through building their own stewardship success plans, offering tools and strategies we’ve learned along the way.
We’re humbled to be included among so many dedicated partners and friends across the state. Our biggest takeaways this year: improving communication with federal partners and expanding strategies that help build long-term stewardship success.
